HULL AND MACHINERY INSPECTION
We provide Hull and Machinery inspections, whatever your needs are, we will provide you with a detailed inspection and report
ON - OFF HIRE BUNKER AND CONDITION SURVEYS
Inspections prior to and after lease of ships, barges and containers to categorize damages for Clients on the condition of the cargo compartments, a survey is made with regard to existing and / or claimed damages.
CARGO INSPECTION AND MONITORING SHIPBOARD OPERATIONS
In addition to the cargo inspection we can provide a constant presence at the loading / discharge of cargo vessels, barges and containers to ensure that loading systems are inspected for cleanliness, that sampling procedures will be carried out in the proper manner and that testing of commodities will be provided. We will be available around the clock to ensure smooth operations and that any potential problems such as adverse weather, cargo contamination or loss are attended to immediately.
PRE-LOADING CARGO CONDITION SURVEYS
It is sometimes essential for our clients to carry out a pre-loading cargo condition survey in order to ensure that the cargo being loaded on board the vessel is of the required specifications, for this we have a wide range of expertise to assist in accurately describing the cargo.
Accurately calculated cargo weights are provided through draft surveys taken before and after loading/discharging from a ship or a barge. These surveys are done in a prompt and accurate manner, using the vessel’s tables and taking into careful consideration any extra weights and consumables on board. The density of the dock water, weather and tidal conditions are also carefully taken into account in order to provide the most accurate draft survey possible.
A detailed report of damage sustained to a vessel or container including documentation regarding how the damage occurred. Photos are included in the report as proof of any damage sustained.
We offer many services to assist in container handling and shipping. As we can conduct damage, condition and cleanliness surveys of containers. Additionally we offer inspection services of lashing / securing of containers on board ship, rail cars or truck trailers.
HOLD CONDITION AND CLEANLINESS INSPECTION
Inspections of cargo holds and hatch covers prior to loading cargo are made for any damage that may harm the cargo. Inspections are made of the compartments to ensure cleanliness and suitability for the carriage of the proposed cargo and to ensure that the Customer’s needs are met. Photographs can be included in this report.
Protection and Indemnity CONDITION SURVEY
We are able to carry out Condition Surveys for P&I Clubs; both mutual and fixed facilities, locally and abroad.
SAMPLING and SAMPLE ANALYSIS
In many cases, we have been required to carry out sampling as well as the analysis of cargo by our clients, which we provide through various experienced and certified laboratories.
TALLY AND WEIGHBRIDGE SURVEYS
Some cargo that is discharged will require a continuous attendance by a surveyor/ tally man in order to ascertain that the quantity of cargo discharged/ loaded is accurate with that mentioned in the Mates’ receipt Ledger. while other cargoes loaded/ discharged require the weighbridge to be monitored in order to avoid any discrepancy in the final weighbridge figures.
INSPECTIONS TO QUAY FENDERS AND REPAIRS
In recent years there have been many claims for damages sustained to both fenders and quays. We are one of the first companys to initiate repairs to both quays and fenders at competitive prices, thus saving our clients the cost of being claimed against.
PERSONAL INJURIES INVESTIGATIONS
One of the many claims that a ship owner faces is personal injury claims, that may be brought by the crew or another party attending the vessel (surveyor/ pilot/ stevedore/ etc…) we have gained vast experience in identifying the major reasons that may attribute to such an incidents and thus are not only able to advise on the current claim, but also on ways to prevent future claims.
PRE-PURCHASE / VESSEL CONDITION SURVEY
After a thorough inspection of the vessel by a Surveyor, the Client will be provided with a detailed report on the condition of the vessel, maintenance standards and records of certificates, documents, ships history and equipment. A preliminary report can be provided within 72 hours of the inspection to be followed by the full report with photos.
